About Seer Frights

Standalone scary stories, a clear set of rules, and one promise: you should be scared.

The series

Ordinary kids. One impossible problem.

Seer Frights is a middle-grade horror series of standalone novels for readers ages 8+. Every book follows a different kid through a few days in a place or situation that turns against them: a swamp, a cornfield, an arcade, a summer camp, a house that should not exist, a mirror, a late-night bus, or a garden statue.

The stories move quickly, balance real dread with real laughs, and stay bloodless. Each book is complete on its own, with no recurring hero and no required reading order.

How the stories work

The scare has rules.

01

Every chapter earns the next.

A sound under the floor. A face in the window. A warning that suddenly makes sense. The chapter ends when stopping feels impossible.

02

You cannot trust every alarm.

Some scares have ordinary explanations. That makes the real ones harder to recognize when they arrive.

03

The story commits.

No gore and no vague escape hatch. When the impossible thing is real, the ending does not pretend otherwise.

A note from B. Carter

About the author

I write the kind of books I enjoy — full of wonder, big questions, and just enough answers to keep the pages turning.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading, walking, or staring at the sky, letting a new idea take shape.

I live with too many books, not enough shelves, and a strong policy of leaving the hall light on.

Thanks for joining the journey. There’s always more to see.
